Nurse Clinician – Paediatric Gastro Nurse

Pamela is a compassionate, dedicated and service driven nurse clinician with 21years of healthcare experience in an acute tertiary hospital, National University Hospital. She is currently a Paediatric Nurse Specialist in Khoo Teck Puat-National University Hospital Children’s Medical institute with key expertise in the field of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.

 

She assesses and manages patients diagnosed with liver diseases, including pre and post liver transplantation and inflammatory bowel disease. As an articulate communicator with emphasis on interprofessional collaborative practice, Pamela is a strong patient advocate and is consistently ensuring service quality and her patients well-being. In recognition of outstanding patient service delivery, she was nominated for the Value-In-Action award in 2013 in NUH and was a recipient of the NUH Nightingale award in 2014.

 

Together with her team, Pamela spearheaded and developed the adolescent transition service programs for liver transplant and inflammatory bowel disease. In addition, Pamela is actively involved with the departmental and cluster wide nursing unit practice councils. She believes in developing and guiding the next generation of nurses to improve patient care and delivery.
