Dr Yeo Wee Song graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2001. He received his Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) in 2006. Dr Yeo has been a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health of the United Kingdom (MRCPCH) since 2006. He is a certified specialist in both Paediatric Medicine and Paediatric Nephrology by the Ministry of Health, Singapore. In recognition of his clinical and research work, Dr Yeo was awarded Fellowships to the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (United Kingdom), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, American Society of Nephrology and Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Yeo also obtained his PhD for his work on the immunological basis of childhood nephrotic syndrome.

Dr Yeo’s clinical practice involves all areas of paediatric nephrology including general nephrology, critical care nephrology and renal transplantation. He is passionate about research in the fields of transplant immunology, immunological basis of childhood nephrotic syndrome and has an extensive interest in bioengineering and medical device development. To date, Dr Yeo has more than 50 PubMed indexed publications and is also a beneficiary of several scholarships including the reputable ExxonMobil-NUS Research Fellowship and the NRF-MOH AST PhD research scholarship. He has also received more than 10 scientific awards for his research, including Young Investigator Awards at the 11th Asian Congress of Paediatric Nephrology and 8th Congress of Asian Society for Paediatric Research and a Poster of Excellence at the World Transplant Congress in 2014.

Dr Yeo is also the recipient of the Wong Hock Boon – SMA Outstanding Mentor Award, which is testament to his passion towards grooming the next generation of clinicians/clinician-scientists.

Dr Yeo currently serves as a Council Member at the College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
