Dr Benny LOO
Consultant Paediatrician

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital
Dr Benny Loo is a Consultant Paediatrician working in Sport and Exercise Medicine Service at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), Singapore. He graduated with MBBS in 2007 from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and obtained Masters of Medicine (Paediatric Medicine) from the NUS and Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (United Kingdom) in 2014. He completed his SingHealth Paediatric Medicine Residency Programme in 2017 and joined the General Paediatrics Service.
In 2020, he joined the Sport and Exercise Medicine Service in KKH, and serve as Deputy Site Chief for KKH in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Disease Centre (Sport & Exercise Medicine). He completed his Master of Sports Medicine with University of Queensland and fellowship training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, under the MOH Human Manpower Development Plan (HMDP), in 2022.
Dr Benny Loo is a passionate educator and he holds the appointments of Clinical Assistant Professor with Duke-NUS Medical School, Adjunct Assistant Professor with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Clinical Teacher with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technology University.
Dr Benny is an IPRAMHO Investigator and he chaired the Workgroups on the development of the Singapore Integrated 24-Hour Activity Guidelines for Children and Adolescents (7 to 18 years), and for Early Childhood (0 to 6 years). He is also a member of the expert advisory committee for the Singapore Physical Activity Guidelines 2022.
